Eco-Shelter was originaly created as a base-camp for the family of the founder of Ecodiverse Organic "Fota Farm" in the province of Mwaro in the beautiful hills of Burundi also known as the Switzerland of Africa.
The authentic beauty of Fota, has made the Eco-Shelter camp a place of serenity.
Located less then 2 hours from Bujumbura airport and 1 hour from Gitega. Here you will be able to enjoy the calm of Burundi´s amazing unspoiled beauty, with short trips to the Lake Tanganyka, be amazed by the famous Karera Falls of Munyika, visiting chimpanzees in Kibira National Park, not to forget the charming village of Fota and the Gasumo waterfall in Mwaro.

Each tent has an outdoor lounge area, dinning table and privat fireplace.
Kitchen and bathroom facilities are available 10 meters from the tents. If you do not feel like preparing your own lunch and dinners, our staff will be happy to prepare a nice lunch and a delecious barbecue for dinner.
